We've always liked Plan Toys and their line of environmentally friendly, ethically manufactured toys. So, it was no big shock when the new Eco Home showed up this year. In addition to being an awesome little play house, also models earth-friendly living with solar panels, a living roof, rain barrel, and turning wind turbine. The Eco Home is constructed of wood, the set includes all the furniture pictured, enough to decorate two rooms, people, and the environmentally friendly "Segway."

Plan Toys is strongly committed to manufacturing fine-quality and safe educational toys under environment-friendly conditions. The timber used is plantation rubberwood, which is recovered from old rubber trees after they no longer generate latex and are due for burning. They process and kiln-dry the timber, in a chemical-free environment; no wood preservatives are used whatsoever. The paint which they use to varnish Plan Toys products is non-toxic water-based paint which has been found to be safe for children and non-polluting in natural water sources. They also use natural latex glue to do the joining work on their toys. This is truly a green company!
